Believe it or not, I am writing. I am still working on Midnight in Legend, TN, which needed to be a more complete story. Have you ever read a 90,000-word novella? You may get a chance soon.

Kidding. It won't be that long. But when I started working on it, Midnight and Martin's story was 20,000 words. It is almost 30,000 words now. I keep thinking of things that are important to the main characters, and to Martin's son Daniel, and, well, to the entire Town of Legend, and I wonder at what point I can wrap up and move on to the next story. I owe a lot to Legend and its people (even though they are imaginary). I want to do right by them, and that means making my first story in the series the best it can possibly be.

I know. It is a lot of work to do for a book that's already out there. But this is important to me. I hope you'll want to revisit the story when it's available in its impending incarnation. I think that if you own the Kindle version, you'll get a notice when the new one is ready, and all you have to do is click to get the bigger-better content for free (assuming you already bought it once).

In the meantime, as you wait expectantly for the updated version of that story, I wanted to show you (see above) the new cover for Betsy and Mike McClain's story. Where Her Heart Is occurs about three years after Midnight in Legend, TN. I love this new cover because it has a more Betsy-ish Betsy. As I'm writing Betsy's scenes in Midnight's book, I'm picturing the Betsy on this cover.

I'll let you know when Midnight and Martin's story is ready for your enjoyment. Then I move on to the polishing of a Christmas story for this year, and then...not sure. I love Legend so much, and hope you love it, too. Legend, Tennessee--where romance lives next door.

Talk soon,

P.S.: In case you hadn't guessed it, I am so incredibly happy to be writing again!

What do you think?

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago when Spot and I were out for a walk.

I'm sure there is a lesson here for me.

What do you think it is?

A Magical Collection

Available now for pre-order at some ebook retailers. Smashwords, for instance.

Release date is September 5. And the best part--it's only 99 cents!

Nah, that's not the best part! The best part is the lovely cover!

NOPE! The Best Part is seeing a story go out into the world again. Sigh.
